Camp Kaos Summer Camp Support
Camp Kaos offers inclusive outdoor experiences tailored to children and young adults with diverse abilities, featuring a blend of traditional camp games and activities alongside the enjoyment of Howarth Park's attractions such as paddle boats, carousel rides, and train rides. It provides a supportive environment fostering growth, friendship, and adventure for all participants.
- Camp Kaos runs Monday-Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm. Volunteers should arrive 30 mins early to help set up and can stay up to 30 mins breaking down.
- Volunteers must be comfortable working with children and young adults with disabilities.
- This opportunity is perfect for those who are patient, kind, understanding, and committed to staying engaged throughout the shift.
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is encouraged, but not required.
- This is a fully outdoor camp experience. Please be prepared for warm to hot temperatures by wearing appropriate clothing, hats/sunglasses, sunscreen, and bringing a reusable water bottle. A Camp T-shirt will be provided and must be worn every day.
